
College basketball team sanctioned over trans athlete abuse wins Canadian national championship
Columbia Bible College's women's basketball team won the Canadian National Title despite a feud involving a transgender athlete, resulting in forfeits and sanctions. On Saturday night, CBC won the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association national title by beating St. Mary's University, 77-70 - securing their first title in program history. The team accomplished the feat behind accusations related to their treatment of a trans athlete late last year. Head coach Taylor Claggett was suspended after allegations of abuse against trans player Harriette Mackenzie of Vancouver Island University.
