The joy of going to Costco every week is that the inventory is constantly shifting. Sometimes you catch life-sized animatronic werewolves, while others you find walk-in sheds that your toddler refuses to get out of. This week, though, I spotted one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen at Costco: an $1,800 walk-in sauna.

Costco is literally selling a two-person walk-in sauna, complete with red-light therapy and a full bench. It's got a music system you can connect to Bluetooth and even an overhead reading light, so you can bring in your favorite book.
But why on earth would you want that? Where would you put a 4-foot-by-4-foot sauna in your home? It weighs 285 pounds and you have to assemble it yourself. You need a dedicated circuit to support it in your home, so you'll have to make sure your space is properly equipped to handle this massive appliance. Reviewers say a two-person fit is tight — it's 68 inches tall (about 5' 7"), so if you're tall, you'll have to squeeze into it.
Overall, this sauna is an incredibly niche product that'll be great for a select portion of the population if you've got the strength, height, space, and electrical system to handle it. For the rest of us? It's a pass.
