Olsen has proven an enormous fan favorite since swapping the gridiron for the mic in 2021.

He has been a colour commentator alongside Kevin Burkhardt in the Fox sales space for the previous two seasons.

Fans lately begged Fox to let him stay after a robust calling performance within the NFC Championship recreation.

Olsen spoke with The Dan Patrick Present on Tuesday about Brady's impending arrival on his turf.

And the ex-NFL star admitted he knew this was "all the time the plan."

"I've recognized Tom was coming for over two years," Olsen advised the podcast.

"That a part of it we all the time knew. It was a matter of when, we simply weren't positive on the timeline.

"He ended up not coming this previous season which gave me a second yr with Kevin [Burkhardt] within the sales space with the A-team."

Olsen careworn that pronouncing was his future – and he needs to call the "prime games."

"Going ahead, my objectives haven't changed," he continued.

"I need to name prime video games. I need to call video games in entrance of 57 million individuals, and dive into the most important moments.

"I feel like we've accomplished nearly as good a job at doing that as anybody in the business during the last couple seasons."

One NFL fan responded to the revealing interview, "He's terrific. Fox didn't really miss a beat going from Joe & Troy to Kevin & Greg."

Another stated, "Greg is great at what he does."

A 3rd added, "He's a lot better than [Tony] Romo and [Cris] Collinsworth."

Olsen spent 14 years in the NFL, with 9 of these seasons with the Carolina Panthers.

He's a three-time Pro Bowler and racked up 8,683 receiving yards and 60 touchdowns in his career.
