Jude Law and Andrew Garfield have signed on to star in the Apple TV+ limited series about iconic magicians Siegfried & Roy,Varietyhas learned. The eight-episode series was first reported to bein the works at Apple back in 2022. As reported at the time, it is based on the Apple Original Podcast, "Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy." Law will star as Siegfried and Garfield will star as Roy, with production set to commence in the fall. The duo push the concept of illusion versus reality to the extreme, personally and professionally, until tragedy reframes and opens a mystery surrounding their last fateful Las Vegas show." John Hoffman developed the series for television and will serve as executive producer, showrunner, and director. Both Law and Garfield will executive produce in addition to starring. Matt Shakman is attached to executive produce and direct the first episode. Brian Grazer, Kristen Zolner and Natalie Berkus will executive produce for Imagine Entertainment, alongside executive producers Tony Leondis and Kathy Ciric. Will Malnati, who conceived "Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy," will executive produce the project alongside Steven Leckart, who wrote, narrated, and executive produced the podcast for At Will Media. Law recently starred in the Disney+ "Star Wars" series "Skeleton Crew." He has previously starred in shows like "The Young Pope" and "The Third Day," and will next be seen in the Netflix series "Black Rabbit" opposite Jason Bateman. Law is best known for his film roles, having starred in hit features like "The Talented Mr. Ripley," "Closer," and "Cold Mountain." He received Academy Award nominations for both "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and "Cold Mountain." He is repped by CAA, Julian Belfrage Associates, Jackoway Austen and ID. Garfield's TV credits include "Under the Banner of Heaven" at FX, for which he received both Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Garfield is also a two-time Academy Award nominee, for "Hacksaw Ridge" and "tick, tick… BOOM!" He is also known for his role in the "Spider-Man" film franchise as well as "The Social Network," "We Live in Time," and "The Eyes of Tammy Faye." Garfield is repped by CAA, Gordon & French, ID, and Sloane Offer.. Shakman is repped by CAA and Yorn Levine Barnes. Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn started out as a cruise ship and nightclub magic act before they became Las Vegas mainstays. They famously performed their act featuring magic and white tigers at the Mirage Hotel and Casino from 1990-2003. The act ended in 2003 when Horn was bitten in the throat by one of their tigers during a live performance, causing severe damage, while he also suffered a stroke. The show was shuttered shortly thereafter, with both Fischbacher and Horn largely retiring from public life.
