In an interview withEssencepublished Thursday, May 22, Serayah, 29, opened up about her first pregnancy. "I'm great, honestly. At the finish line," she said. The singer and actress also recalled knowing something was different about her body, after she experienced food aversions early in her pregnancy. "I was on set, and they brought fried chicken for the cast and crew, and I just was repulsed by the smell," she remembered. But I didn't understand:Why do I feel like this stinks?" The couple met through mutual friends in 2021. Joey, 30, told the outlet, "I saw her and I remember thinking to myself like, 'Wow, I've never seen a woman so beautiful.' " The rapper and actor continued, "She was just strikingly gorgeous, and her aura was just kind of radiating." Serayah then described her first impression of Joey, saying that he was "the most mysterious person I've ever met, but also very magnetizing and something about him also spoke loudly without speaking at all." TheEmpirealum and theMr. Robotstar took another year to reconnect, and ultimately went public with their romance in 2023, perVibe. Joey, who is a father to a seven-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, publicly stated that he was polyamorous in 2021, perEssence. He told the outlet that his relationship with Serayah altered his outlook on monogamy. "That was where I was at in my life at the time."
