A mega streamer is set to unveil its first notable makeover in over a decade later this month. Netflixusers should start gearing up for an impressive update,the streamer announced this week, teasing improved user interfaces, more personalized recommendations and easier searches designed to combat "decision fatigue." First up, the navigation bar is set to move to the top of the screen, with easy access to Search, Shows, Movies, Games, and My Netflix—a new hub to keep track of all your stuff, from where you left off in one series to what you plant to watch next. The streamer is also introducing more detailed information about each title, including its award wins and its history within the app's Top 10. Finally, Netflix promised more responsive recommendations that refresh as you use the app. For example, users "who just engaged withSet It Up" might see a rom-com row pop up. The early streaming era service first launched its online edition in 2007, and hasn't seen a major update to its homepage since 2013, according to theNew York Times. The redesign is set to begin rolling out globally on May 19, with most TVs and TV streaming devices eligible immediately. More devices will be added at a later date.
