Rapper GloRilla is facing felony drug posession charges after police were called to her Georgia home to investigate a burglary.

The "Wanna Be" rapper, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, was booked into jail at the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday after turning herself in to police. She was released the same day on a $22,260 bond, authorities confirmed to **.

Her arrest came following a call to police on Saturday. At approximately 1:30 a.m., uniformed patrol deputies responded to reports of a burglary in progress at Woods' St. Marlo residence. Per police, three suspects had entered the rapper's residence and were met with gunfire from an occupant. The intruders fled the scene and no injuries were reported to police. GloRilla was not present at the time of the burglary, said law enforcement officials.

An extensive search ensued, during which the suspects were not located. Officers did, however, detect a "strong odor consistent with illegal narcotics." After obtaining a search warrant for the home, they discovered "a significant amount of marijuana" inside the master bedroom closet. Woods, as the homeowner, was charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession of schedule one controlled substance.

Following the Saturday morning incident, GloRilla performed that night at the WNBA All-Star game in Indianapolis. Days later, she surrendered to authorities at the Forsyth County Jail and was shortly released on bond.

In a statement provided to EW, Sheriff Ron Freeman said, "The homeowner is a victim of a serious crime, and we are committed to bringing the suspects to justice. At the same time, we must continue to uphold and enforce the law in all aspects of this case."

Authorities added that the investigation into the burglary remains active and ongoing.

GloRilla's attorneys, Marissa Goldberg and Drew Findling, addressed her arrest in a statement to EW, calling the incident "a disturbing window into how warped law enforcement priorities have become."

The statement continued, "Ms. Woods was out of town when her residence became a target for a group of home invaders who most likely knew she wasn't there. What they didn't know was that she had family staying with her that were traumatized by the violent entrance of this group who grabbed high value jewelry before taking off once they realized the home wasn't vacant. When her family members did the right thing and called law enforcement, instead of investigating the violent home invasion and theft at Ms. Woods' home, they instead sought a search warrant when they spotted what they believed was a small amount of marijuana. Law enforcement then sought arrest warrants for her even though she hadn't been at her home for some time. No arrest warrants have been issued for the violent home invaders. Ms. Woods is a victim, not a suspect. This is our tax dollars at work, absolutely unbelievable."
