The Duggar family rose to fame as the stars of TLC's *19 Kids & Counting*, which aired 10 seasons from 2008 to 2015.
The series offered a glimpse into the unique lifestyle, daily routines, and family values of Arkansas politician Jim Bob Duggar, his wife Michelle, and their 19 kids. Yes, 19 kids. Nine daughters and 10 sons, each of whom was given a name starting with "J."
Prominently on display was the family's strong Christian faith and adherence to the teachings of the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP), which was later explored alongside the Duggars on the 2023 Amazon Prime docuseries *Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. *
After the original series ended in 2015, several members of the family continued sharing their lives through the spinoff *Counting On*, which aired until 2021.
Now, a decade after *19 Kids & Counting *ended amid scandal, many of the Duggar children have grown up, married, and started families of their own.
Here's a look at where some of the Duggar family members are now.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar continue to reside in Arkansas, where their family first captured national attention on *19 Kids and Counting*. They live on a sprawling property that includes multiple homes and serves as the central hub for the Duggar family.
Since their stint on reality TV, the Duggars have stayed busy with various ventures. Jim Bob attempted a return to politics in 2021 with an unsuccessful Arkansas State Senate run. He and Michelle remain active in real estate, having flipped several properties over the years.
In addition to their business pursuits, the couple has written books, spoken at faith-based events, and stayed involved with IBLP. They're also grandparents to over 30 grandchildren.
In 2023, an Amazon docuseries, *Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, *dug into the Duggar family's relationship with IBLP, which some former members have described as a "cult," as well as its affiliated homeschool program, ATI, noting how both have influenced the Duggar family.
"The recent 'documentary' that talks about our family is sad because in it we see the media and those with ill intentions hurting people we love," Jim Bob and Michelle wrote in a joint statement at the time. "Like other families, ours too has experienced the joys and heartbreaks of life, just in a very public format. This 'documentary' paints so much and so many in a derogatory and sensationalized way because sadly that's the direction of entertainment these days."

*19 Kids and Counting* was canceled in 2015 amid resurfaced allegations that Josh Duggar, Jim Bob and Michelle's oldest son and a star of the series, had molested multiple underage girls, including his sisters, when he was a teenager in the 2000s.
Josh acknowledged the allegations in May 2015 and shared an apology. "Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret," he said in May 2015. "I hurt others, including my family and close friends." **

Just a few months later, Josh was revealed to have cheated on his wife after a much-publicized data breach of Ashley Madison, an online hub for facilitating extramarital affairs. He checked himself into rehab that same month.
In April 2021, Josh was arrested on federal charges of receiving and possessing child pornography, which he denied. His trial began on Nov. 30 of that year. By Dec. 9, he was found guilty on all charges.
On May 25, 2022, Josh was sentenced to over 12 years in prison. He has since filed multiple appeals, all of which have been unsuccessful. In May 2025, he requested a court-appointed attorney, claiming he is "unable to afford counsel due to my current financial circumstances," according to PEOPLE. He continues to maintain his innocence.**

Jana Wissmann (née Duggar), the eldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle, has continued to build on her career following her time on *19 Kids and Counting* and *Counting On*, which concluded in 2021.
Along with sisters Jill, Jessa, and Jinger, Wissmann co-authored the 2014 book *Growing Up Duggar: It's All About Relationships*, sharing insights into their family life, faith, and experiences growing up in the Duggar household.
In the days following Josh's conviction, news broke that Wissmann was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor in September 2021.
She addressed the situation on Dec. 14 via her Instagram Story, explaining that when she was babysitting, "one of the children wandered outside alone." Someone saw the child and alerted authorities, resulting in a citation for Wissmann.
"This resulted in a written citation, as well as a follow-up with child welfare who concluded that it was an accident and the child was unharmed," she added.
A clerk later told PEOPLE that Wissmann settled the matter outside of court and paid an $880 fine.
Jana married Stephen Wissmann on Aug. 15, 2024. Stephen, whose sister Hannah is married to Jana's brother, Jeremiah, had previously dated Wissmann before the two reconnected and eventually exchanged vows.

Jill Dillard (née Duggar), Jim Bob and Michelle's second daughter, is now largely estranged from her parents.
She married Derick Dillard on June 21, 2014, and the couple has three sons. Jill has also experienced pregnancy loss, including a miscarriage in 2021 and a stillbirth in 2024, both of which she has spoken about publicly.
In 2015, Dillard revealed to *Fox News*' Megyn Kelly that she and her sister, Jessa, were two of several sisters who had been inappropriately touched by their older brother. She shared that they had been unaware of the incident at the time and only learned about it after their parents found out and later told them.
"I was angry at first, I was like, 'How could this happen?'" she said. "And then my parents explained to us what happened and then Josh came and asked each of us, individually, I know, he asked me to forgive him. And I had to make that choice to forgive him, you know."
Dillard co-wrote 2014's *Growing Up Duggar* with three of her sisters and released a memoir, *Counting the Cost*, in 2023, where she shared more about her experiences growing up in a highly structured and religious household.
That same year, she appeared on the Amazon Prime Video docuseries *Shiny Happy People, *in which she revealed she wasn't paid for either of the TLC series on which she appeared.
"I never received any payout — no check, no cash, no nothing," she said. "For seven and a half years of my adult life, I was never paid."
In June 2025, she offered a rare nod to Jim Bob on Father's Day. "Happy Father's Day to my own dad @duggarfam who always made time for us kids and kept things exciting and adventurous growing up, including the family bike rides, work days at the car lot, meals of cold butter beans with ketchup and BBQ tunafish sandwiches," she wrote.**

Jessa Seewald (née Duggar), the third Duggar daughter, has remained in the public eye through social media and her popular YouTube channel, where she shares glimpses into her daily life, motherhood, and renovation projects.
Speaking of, she married Benjamin Seewald in 2014 after a 14-month romance and a brief three-month engagement. The couple has since built a large family of their own, welcoming five children: Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, Fern, and George. A sixth is due any day now.
Jinger Vuolo
Jinger Vuolo (née Duggar).

Jinger Vuolo (née Duggar) has publicly distanced herself from the strict religious teachings under which she was raised.
She married former professional soccer player Jeremy Vuolo in November 2016 after meeting him during a mission trip to Central America the year prior. The couple now has three children and lives in California.
In 2024, the Vuolos launched *The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast*, where they discuss "faith, family, reality TV, and life in general."
Over the years, Vuolo has been open about reevaluating her family's belief system. In early 2023, she and Jeremy spoke candidly with PEOPLE about their spiritual journey, with Jinger describing her former religious environment as "cult-like."
"Fear was a huge part of my childhood," she said. "I thought I had to wear only skirts and dresses to please God. Music with drums, places I went, or the wrong friendships could all bring harm."
Jinger elaborates on these criticisms in her 2023 memoir, *Becoming Free Indeed: My Story of Disentangling Faith from Fear*. Through her story, Vuolo hopes to help others who may be facing similar struggles.
"That's the beauty of this journey," she said. "The teaching I grew up under was harmful, it was damaging, and there are lasting effects. But I know other people are struggling, and people who are still stuck. I want to share my story, and maybe it will help even just one person to be freed."
