Stephen Colbert has not let up on his criticism of President Donald Trump following the cancellation of *The Late Show.*
The late-night host tore into Trump during his monologue on Tuesday. Colbert accused the commander-in-chief of distracting from the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files by shifting the focus to former president Barack Obama.
Colbert had a strong message for the president after Trump shared an "incredibly disturbing" AI-generated video of Obama getting arrested by FBI agents.**
"What the f--- is wrong with this guy?" the *Late Show* comedian said. "That is an insane thing to post. If you or I put up an AI video depicting the violent arrest of a former president, we would get a free ride in a windowless van to FBI headquarters where they would put us to work redacting Trump's name from the Epstein file."**

On Monday, Trump was questioned about the Justice Department's pursuit of a new interview with Ghislaine Maxwell. In 2022, Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison for recruiting and grooming teen girls for Jeffery Epstein's sex trafficking ring.
The Justice Department's move came after weeks of criticism against the Trump administration for walking back its promises to release more investigative documents related to Epstein.
The president, who was once friends with Epstein, called the new inquiry into Maxwell a "witch hunt" and quickly deflected the question. Instead, he suggested that reporters investigate Obama for "treason" and accused him of trying to "rig the election."

Representatives for former president Barack Obama strongly refuted Trump's claims to the *New York Times.***
"These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction," spokesman Patrick Rodenbush told the outlet.
Colbert echoed this sentiment during his Tuesday monologue.**
"Whenever Trump is backed into a corner, he needs to change the subject and throw red meat to the carnivorous base," he said. "And their favorite cut is filet of Obama."

Colbert is not the only TV personality to call out Trump's most recent fixation on Obama. *The View*'s Joy Behar criticized the president over Jan. 6 and claimed he was "jealous of Obama." The White House issued a response to Behar in an exclusive statement to *.*
"Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome," said White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers. The statement continued, suggesting Behar "should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air."
