It's a bird! It's a plane! It's... Alex Borstein celebrating her former *Marvelous Mrs. Maisel *costar Rachel Brosnahan's new movie, *Superman.*
Joining * *in our Comic-Con video suite on Saturday, the actress notes that she's also proud of the man behind the Man of Steel, David Corenswet.
"He's the first Jewish Superman, which is very exciting," Borstein says. "He's Jewperman. We're very excited about that."
As her *Family Guy *costars Seth Green and Jennifer Tilly laugh at her new nickname for Corenswet, Borstein adds, "Kind of fun!"

Borstein reveals that she saw *Superman* on opening weekend to support Brosnahan's new role as Lois Lane after they starred together on Amazon's dramedy series for five seasons. "She's so good," Borstein says.
The actress also loves that she and Brosnahan are now both playing characters named Lois (Borstein has voiced Lois Griffin on her Fox animated comedy for 444 episodes and counting).

"We're both Lois. We're the Loises now," Borstein says. "When [Brosnahan's *Superman* casting] first happened, I said, 'Welcome to the Lois [club].' It's very exciting."
Borstein has starred as Lois Griffin on *Family Guy* since 1999, for which she won an Emmy. She also won two Emmys for her work on *The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, *opposite Brosnahan, who also won an Emmy for her role on the series.

******James Gunn's rebooted *Superman*, also starring Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, opened on July 11, earning $122 million at the domestic box office and $217 million globally in its opening weekend. The film anchors the newly made-over DC cinematic universe, which will continue in *Peacemaker* season 2, premiering Aug. 21 on HBO Max, and *Supergirl*, slated to open in theaters on June 26, 2026.
